Privacy Policy

Last updated: 20 August 2026

Latey is designed to be local-first. It has no Latey account or backend, and calendar content, schedules and Screen Time selections are not uploaded to PCTR.

1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how PCTR INFORMACIJSKE STORITVE d.o.o. (“PCTR”, “we”, “us”) processes information in connection with the Latey iPhone application and this website. PCTR is the data controller where applicable.

PCTR INFORMACIJSKE STORITVE d.o.o.

Privacy contact: info@probors.com

PCTR has not appointed a Data Protection Officer. Privacy questions and requests should be sent to the address above.

2. No Latey account

Latey does not require an account or Sign in with Apple. We do not ask for your name, email address or profile details in the app. App Store purchases use the Apple Account managed by Apple.

3. Calendar information

If you grant full calendar access, Latey reads calendar title and colour, event title, start and end times, all-day status, location, notes and event identifiers. It does not read attendee information or modify your calendar events. Notes are used on-device only to assess whether an event may require preparation and are not displayed in Latey.

Calendar content is processed on your device and is not uploaded to PCTR or Superwall. An upcoming event title may be used locally in Screen Time shield copy. When calculating travel, Latey may send a destination address or coordinates to Apple Maps, but not event notes or attendees.

4. Location, travel and weather

With your permission, Latey uses location at approximately 100-metre accuracy to calculate travel and departure times, save an optional home location, provide weather and create a temporary leave geofence. Location is normally used while the app is in use. Background location is used only for a circular region during an active Leave Now or departure session; Latey does not continuously track or build a location history.

Apple Maps may receive a destination address or coordinates for geocoding and travel estimates. Apple WeatherKit receives location for weather. If WeatherKit is unavailable, Open-Meteo receives latitude, longitude and time zone. Open-Meteo states that API logs, which can include IP addresses and coordinates, are deleted after approximately 90 days. You can change location permission in iOS Settings.

5. Screen Time and app blocking

If authorised, Latey uses Apple Family Controls and Screen Time frameworks for individual, self-directed app blocking. You choose the applications, categories and web domains to restrict. Apple supplies opaque tokens; Latey cannot use those tokens to read the selected app names.

Those tokens, whether shielding is enabled, a short override-until timestamp and shield context such as the current phase, wake or leave time and next event title are stored locally in the app group. Latey is not a parental-control, child-supervision or mobile-device-management service.

6. Schedules, alarms and local activity

Latey stores preferences, sleep and wake plans, wake and ready confirmations, alarm and notification settings, blocking selections, emergency-unlock windows and a sleep-adherence heatmap on your device. Heatmap records are pruned after approximately 400 days. Weather symbols are kept only temporarily in memory.

Latey does not use iCloud, CloudKit or its own multi-device sync. iOS device backups may include local app data under Apple's backup settings. Subscriptions can be restored through the Apple Account that made the purchase.

7. Purchases and Superwall

Purchases are processed through Apple StoreKit. PCTR does not receive full payment-card information. Apple may provide transaction, eligibility and subscription-entitlement information needed to offer or unlock Latey Premium.

Latey uses Superwall, operated by Nest 22, Inc. in the United States, for subscription configuration, entitlement status, purchase restoration and related SDK events. Latey does not send calendar content, precise location or Screen Time selections to Superwall. Superwall may process an anonymous SDK or device identifier, app and operating-system version, locale, IP address, paywall interactions and transaction or subscription events. Learn more in Superwall's Privacy Policy.

8. Analytics and diagnostics

PCTR does not use a third-party product analytics or crash-reporting service in Latey. Internal product events print only in development builds and are not sent to a PCTR backend. Superwall processes subscription and paywall telemetry as described above. Apple may provide crash or App Analytics information when a user enables sharing with app developers.

Latey does not display advertising, use the advertising identifier or request App Tracking Transparency permission.

9. This website

This website does not use analytics, marketing pixels, advertising cookies or a contact form. Clicking links may generate local interface events, but those events are not sent to an analytics provider. Hosting infrastructure may process ordinary request information, such as IP address, browser details and timestamps, to deliver and secure the site.

10. Why we process information

Where the GDPR, UK GDPR or similar law applies, processing needed to provide the features you request and manage Premium is based on performance of our contract with you. Permission-based device features are activated only at your request and can be disabled in iOS Settings. Limited security, support and service-improvement processing may be based on our legitimate interests, where those interests are not overridden by your rights. We process information where necessary to comply with legal obligations and use consent where the law requires it.

11. Service providers and international transfers

Apple provides the App Store, StoreKit, Maps, WeatherKit and operating-system frameworks under its own privacy terms. Superwall processes relevant subscription telemetry in the United States and identifies international-transfer safeguards in its Data Processing Addendum. OpenMeteo GmbH operates Open-Meteo in Switzerland. These providers may use their own infrastructure and subprocessors.

12. Retention and deletion

Local preferences, home location, relevance choices and Screen Time tokens remain until you change them or uninstall Latey. The sleep heatmap is retained for approximately 400 days. Ending a subscription does not automatically erase local preferences, but alarms, notifications and shields stop when Premium access ends.

Latey currently has no in-app account-deletion function because there is no Latey account or PCTR cloud record. Uninstalling the app removes its local data, subject to any device backup controlled by Apple. For requests concerning Superwall-linked records or support correspondence, contact us. We keep support communications only as long as reasonably necessary to answer the request, resolve a dispute or meet legal obligations. Apple, Superwall and Open-Meteo apply their own retention periods.

13. Sharing, sale and tracking

We do not sell personal information, use it for targeted advertising or share calendar or precise-location information for another company's independent marketing. Information is disclosed only to the providers described above, when you direct us to do so, to protect the service or users, or where required by law.

14. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to Latey's local-first design. No device, transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

15. Your choices and rights

You can revoke calendar, location, notification and Screen Time permissions in iOS Settings; change blocking selections in Latey; cancel Premium through Apple; and delete local Latey data by uninstalling the app. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to or receive a portable copy of personal information, and to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.

Send a request to info@probors.com. We may need enough information to verify and respond to your request. EEA users may complain to their local supervisory authority or the Information Commissioner of the Republic of Slovenia.

16. Children

Latey is intended for people aged 16 or older and is not directed to children. We do not provide a parental-consent flow and do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided information through a support request, contact us so we can address it.

17. Automated decisions

Latey uses on-device keyword rules to assess whether an event may require preparation and may calculate a local average of get-ready duration. These suggestions can be accepted, changed or ignored. Latey does not use cloud AI and does not make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

18. Changes and contact

We may update this policy when Latey, our providers or legal requirements change. We will post the new version here, update the date above and use an in-app notice when a change materially affects users.
