Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 20 August 2026
Latey is a planning aid, not a safety service. Its alarms, travel estimates and suggested times can be delayed, unavailable or wrong. Always verify important plans independently.
1. Agreement
These Terms form an agreement between you and PCTR INFORMACIJSKE STORITVE d.o.o. (“PCTR”, “we”, “us”) when you download, access or use Latey. If you do not agree, do not use Latey. Apple is not a party to this agreement except as expressly stated below.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old and legally able to enter this agreement. Latey is not directed to children and does not provide a parental-consent flow.
3. What Latey does
Latey works backwards from calendar events and user-provided information to suggest times to sleep, wake, prepare and leave. With your permission, it can schedule alarms and notifications, calculate travel and weather information, show live departure information and temporarily shield applications, categories or websites you select.
Latey works partly offline. Maps, weather, purchases and subscription services require an internet connection. Features also depend on supported Apple devices, operating-system capabilities, permissions and platform services.
4. Licence
Subject to these Terms, PCTR grants you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use Latey on Apple-branded devices you own or control, as permitted by Apple's usage rules. The licence is for personal, non-commercial use and does not transfer ownership of Latey or its content.
5. Your permissions and local information
You choose whether to grant calendar, location, notification, alarm and Screen Time permissions. Some features will not work without the relevant permission. You are responsible for having the right to process information in calendars you connect. Latey has no account or cloud sync; local information and settings may be lost when the app is removed or the device is changed.
6. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for keeping calendar events, locations, travel assumptions and preferences accurate; checking device settings, Focus modes, volume, battery and connectivity; allowing a reasonable safety margin; and independently confirming any time-sensitive plan. You remain responsible for waking, preparing, leaving and arriving safely.
7. Estimates and safety
Timing, travel, traffic, weather and preparation calculations are estimates, not guarantees. Calendar data may be incomplete or change. Location, map and weather services may be unavailable or inaccurate.
Latey is not medical advice, sleep treatment, emergency assistance, professional transport, workplace-safety equipment or a substitute for a dedicated alarm or safety system. Do not rely on Latey where a missed alert, incorrect estimate or unavailable feature could cause injury, an emergency, legal consequences or serious loss.
8. Alarms and notifications
Alarms and notifications can be delayed, silenced, shown only as a banner or prevented by Apple's operating system, permissions, Focus or silent settings, device state, connectivity, battery level or other technical limits. Maintain an independent backup for critical alarms and appointments.
9. App shielding
App shielding requires Apple Screen Time authorisation and a user-selected set of apps, categories or websites. Latey cannot identify which selected app is currently open and does not lock the entire device. You can revoke permission, turn shielding off or use the available emergency override. Do not use Latey as parental control, employee monitoring or mobile-device management.
10. Latey Premium
The working product requires an active Latey Premium entitlement following onboarding or any eligible trial. Purchases, billing, trials, renewal, cancellation and refunds are handled through Apple and are also governed by the Subscription Terms. Emergency release of an active shield is never conditional on payment.
11. Acceptable use
You must not use Latey unlawfully or to infringe another person's rights; interfere with or disrupt Latey or its providers; attempt unauthorised access; scrape, resell or exploit the service; bypass Apple security or Screen Time controls; reverse engineer or modify Latey except where applicable law expressly allows it; introduce malicious code; use Latey to supervise a child or control another person's device; or rely on it for a safety-critical purpose.
12. Intellectual property
Latey, including its software, design, branding and original content, is owned by PCTR or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Apple frameworks, third-party services and third-party materials remain the property of their respective owners.
13. Availability and changes
We do not promise uninterrupted, error-free or permanent availability. We may update, replace, restrict or discontinue features or withdraw Latey where reasonably necessary for security, law, platform requirements, product changes or commercial reasons. Mandatory consumer rights, including rights relating to conformity and required updates, are not limited.
14. Ending use
You may stop using Latey at any time and cancel a subscription through Apple. Because Latey has no account, PCTR cannot normally suspend an individual account remotely. Access may end when a subscription expires, Apple removes the app, the app is discontinued or use is unlawful. Provisions that by nature should continue—including ownership, disclaimers, liability and dispute provisions—survive termination.
15. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Latey is provided “as is” and “as available”. We disclaim implied warranties to the extent they may lawfully be disclaimed. Nothing in these Terms excludes statutory guarantees, remedies or other mandatory consumer rights that apply to you.
16. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or mandatory consumer remedies. Subject to that rule, PCTR is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, missed appointments, travel disruption or loss caused by inaccurate user information, device settings, platform limitations or third-party services, to the extent permitted by law.
Where liability may lawfully be limited, PCTR's total liability arising from Latey will not exceed the amount you paid for Latey during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. This cap does not apply where prohibited by applicable law.
17. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Slovenia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The competent courts in Slovenia have jurisdiction, except that consumers retain any mandatory protections and right to bring proceedings in their country of residence provided by applicable law. These Terms do not require binding arbitration.
Please contact info@probors.com first so we can try to resolve a concern informally.
18. Apple App Store terms
PCTR, not Apple, is responsible for Latey, its maintenance and support, product claims and any warranty not effectively disclaimed. If Latey fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price, if any, as required by its policies; to the maximum extent permitted by law Apple has no other warranty obligation.
PCTR, not Apple, is responsible for addressing claims concerning Latey, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, consumer-protection and intellectual-property claims. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a United States government embargo and are not listed on a prohibited or restricted-party list. You must comply with applicable third-party terms when using Latey. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
19. Changes
We may update these Terms to reflect product, provider or legal changes. We will publish the revised version and update the date above. For a material change, we will provide reasonable in-app notice before the change applies where practicable. Changes do not retroactively reduce mandatory rights.
